Note: Although mKer can operate as a standalone application, its optimal use is as an AUv3 plugin within a compatible AU Host application that supports MIDI Processors like AUM, Audiobus, Cubasis, among others. It is important to underscore that mKer functions as a MIDI application/plugin, requiring an external audio source capable of receiving MIDI for sound production.
mKer proves to be a versatile and feature-rich MIDI step sequencer with an array of functionalities, including:
- 8 MIDI outputs
- 64 Patterns
- 16 Lanes (also known as tracks) per Pattern
- Customizable number of Steps (1-32) and Step Size (1/64-256 beats) per Lane per Pattern
- Possibility for each step to trigger a single note, an interval (2 notes), or a chord (3 or 4 notes)
- Lane Step parameters such as Play Cycles, Skip Cycles, Play Offset Cycles, Pitch, Velocity, Probability, Offset, and Gate for varied effects
- A user-friendly Editor featuring a step entry keyboard, parameter sliders, and multiple intuitive tools aimed at facilitating workflow efficiency
- 32 Clips with 1-8 Steps per Clip, allowing for 1-128 repeats per step and integrating one pattern for each clip step
- 3 Play Modes: Pattern, Clip, Sequence (all Clips)
- A Performance section comprising 10 fully assignable MIDI sliders, a 12-snapshot bank, and morphing capabilities between snapshots
- MIDI step input support
